Willamette River Floating Home Under Construction

Willamette River Floating Home Under Construction

BC&J Architecture is proud to see a floating home we designed under construction. Our clients were looking for a river side, cottage style house well suited to their life style and entertaining guests.

The open floor plan of this 2,100 square foot floating home offers plenty of room for living and entertaining. On the first floor, the kitchen opens to the dining room and living room with beautiful views onto the Willamette River.

Upstairs, the master bedroom extends toward the river under a large, centered dormer. Opposite the master bedroom, a bonus room, under a symmetrical dormer, will serve as guest quarters when adult children and grandchildren visit.

The floating home is being constructed at a Marina in Portland. Upon completion, the house will be floated up the Willamette River to a permanent location.

Below is a rendering of the finished home. It is always exciting to compare a rendering to the in-process construction photos as a drawing comes to life.
