From Drawing Board to Construction

From Drawing Board to Construction

We spend so much time building a house on the drawing board, it is a delight to watch a home be transformed from a design to a living structure.

We designed this home for an empty nest couple who wanted a universal design to age-in-place after downsizing from a bigger home.

The 1,300 sf main floor features wide hallways and a master bedroom. The 1,078 sf second floor includes two guest bedrooms. Above the single car garage is a 300 sf studio apartment with a kitchenette and bathroom, designed with a future caretaker in mind.

The home is being built on a less than quarter acre lot within walking distance of downtown. Proximity to downtown allows the homeowners to take advantage of all downtown services without a vehicle.
