BC&J Architecture Home Featured in PNW Magazine

BC&J Architecture was featured in PNW Magazine, and the story behind the design and creation of the house is as charming as the house itself.

New Home on Flathead Lake

BC&J Architecture is the parent company to The Perfect Little House Company, which sells architect designed stock plans online. As seen in this Cove house design and attached Azalea garage, BC&J Architecture worked with the owners to modify the stock plans to take full advantage of their beautiful site.

Writer’s Retreat Completed

BC&J Architecture designed this home as an Island retreat for a writer.

House and Studio

This small one-bedroom house of 1,455 square foot is inviting and open to the meadow view.  The 720 square foot studio doubles as a writer’s haven while allowing overnight guests privacy in a separate building.

House side

The home features metal roofing, Hardi-Artisan siding, clad Pella doors and windows plus generous canopies and soffits. The home will offer easy maintenance and worry free departure to the owners primary residence in Seattle.

Dreaming of Summer

This perfectly sited Bainbridge Island boat house serves as a great escape from the bleak winter landscape of this current season.  The compact boat house evokes the essence of summer; warm rays of sunshine, the lazy breezes, and the gentle sound of the waves lapping on the shore. With it’s crisp classic lines in conjunction with the contemporary simplicity of the form and details, the boat house acts as the ideal gateway between earth and sea.

Eastsound Village

In spite of the economic hardships of the construction industry in small, rural communities particularly, Eastsound Village on Orcas Island continues to forge ahead.  The construction of the first of two matching gateway buildings is currently 70% complete.  The building will house approximately 2,500 square feet of light commercial space for office or retail functions and a second story residential unit ideal for vacation stays in charming Eastsound or as a primary residence for local in-town living.
