South Beach House Featured in Seattle Times

Posted by bcandj   on October 29th, 2015

The Seattle Times featured the South Beach House designed by BC&J Architecture.

The article highlights some of unique and charming features of the home.  We worked closely with the owner to design this one of a kind house based on a sketch generated by the homeowner.

The design of the house simulates how an old world Italian villa may grow through the generations. It is a classic idea with The Northwest taste.

BC&J Architecture designed this home as an Island retreat for a writer.

House and Studio

This small one-bedroom house of 1,455 square foot is inviting and open to the meadow view.  The 720 square foot studio doubles as a writer’s haven while allowing overnight guests privacy in a separate building.

House side

The home features metal roofing, Hardi-Artisan siding, clad Pella doors and windows plus generous canopies and soffits. The home will offer easy maintenance and worry free departure to the owners primary residence in Seattle.
