BC&J Architecture is pleased to add three new members to our team: Timothy Lin, John Whitlow, and Kelley Chen. Our new team members are going to energize our work, and allow us to serve customers in new ways.

Timothy Lin, Architect, is our lead manager of sustainable design and environmental practices. Tim will focus on development and coordination of cost-effective and energy efficient solutions. Tim moved from North Carolina with his wife and eight year old daughter to join our team. Living in Washington puts Tim one plane ride closer to his parents in Taiwan. Tim speaks fluent Mandarin and has an MBA from Wake Forest University. This, combined with his LEED AP BC + C interests will help grow the firm.

John Whitlow, Project Architect, focuses on development and production of construction documents, in depth code analysis, and on-site contractor coordination. John is an experience licensed architect who was the technical lead at NBBJ before joining BC&J Architecture. Now, working on Bainbridge Island, he no longer has to commute to work. His technical expertise is beneficial on our modern homes that push the envelope of standard practices. John is an avid cyclist.

Kelley Chen, Intern Architect, provides architectural and graphic design support. Kelley also prepares documents for building permits, research support for sustainable products, and support assembly practices. Kelley is a recent graduate of University of Washington with a BS in Architecture. Peter Brachvogel, AIA was her instructor at UW for an Architectural Design course. Peter is pleased to bring a former student onto the team and help mentor Kelley through her internship. It is exiting and fun to add a young perspective to energize the team.
